My Store Rewards is a buyer loyalty system for eBay sellers that is designed to increase repeat sales. My Store Rewards is a set and forget application which means that after you sign up up and configure the application the actual functionality of the system is 100% automated. The idea is simple, whenever a buyer makes a purchase they are invited to join your email reward program, if they decide to opt in they are provided a discount, and you are now free to send them emails every so often containing your latest auctions. This is a great way to drive repeat customers to your eBay auctions because not only does it reward the buyer for purchasing from you but it also reminds them that you are still selling on eBay.
The best part to the My Store Rewards system might just be the fact that it uses the buyers Paypal email for your marketing campaign. This prevents buyers from providing a fake email or one that they don’t check. It is safe to say that most people use their primary email with Paypal so you can be assured your marketing efforts are producing results. If you are ever unsure about the results of My Store Rewards you can always view stats on open rates, click-through rates and repeat purchase rates. Emails are sent out every 15 days so it is easy to find out how successful your marketing efforts are.
So this is all good but how about the cost? It turns out My Store Rewards is currently offering a special rate where they are only charging $7.95 a month. This waives the $0.01 per email fee and $0.10 per reward fee, so go ahead and sign up and they just might be inspired to make this new rate permanent.

I have been using this app for about a month. My initial impression is that it isn’t fully developed. mystorerewards is supposed to auto insert the html code for the service in each listing. So far it works for a few days then stops inserting the code. Also, they are supposed to send an email offering the chance to opt in but this also only works for a few days then stops then starts again after a week or so. Finally, customer service support is sub par.
If they get the auto insert and emails fixed I plan on giving them a 3 or 4 month period to see if it helps bring in enough repeat business to pay. I don’t have enough info yet as it has only actually worked for a week or 10 days in the first month…
