Listing Factory is an eBay auction template tool that will assist you in designing more elegant and appealing auctions. Listing Factory has both a WYSIWYG editor for those without HTML experience and a code view to allow for more precise auction editing. You can choose from approximately 80 pre-built templates or design your own to be used within Listing Factory. Once you have decided on a template you can easily add photos, auction policies, an auction title, description and details. Listing Factory allows you to add your pre-written policies to the auction, which prevents the need to rewrite them for each auction. Adding photo galleries is also a breeze, with Listing Factory you will be able to choose from 4 different galleries and you can customize your galleries by choosing both a thumbnail image size and expanded image size.
Once you have built your auction you can save the template as a project, copy the HTML to bring to eBay or another listing tool or list the item directly from Listing Factory. Saving your template as a project is a convenient way to manage your inventory or use the same basic information to make creating future auctions even faster. If you decide to post directly to eBay you will be prompted to fill out details such as the auction price, location, category and shipping details. Before you post your auction to eBay, Listing Factory offers a live preview which shows you exactly how your auction will appear in eBay.
All of these features make Listing Factory worth looking into. If you are in need of a desktop software application that will allow you to easily create auctions based on pre-built templates Listing Factory might be your solution.
Editor Review
Listing Factory is a good tool for those that are constantly creating new auctions or those that do not sell many of the same item/ inventory. This is because it makes creating auctions easy, but it lacks the ability to track inventory, view current auctions, perform automation tasks and other management tasks that you would find in applications such as Inkfrog, Auctiva or Selling Manager Pro.
With that being said what Listing Factory does do, it does pretty well. It functions like Turbo Lister in many ways, but it also adds a few features to the mix that Turbo Lister lacks. A couple features that are very useful is the ability to add a variety of image galleries and pre-written policies to the auction template.
Although Listing Factory makes creating auctions easy, it lacks many of the features that you could get in a full featured management tool. It does make up for this with its low yearly price of only 34.95 for standard or 49.95 for pro. However I am an advocate of using a full featured management tool along with your own template. In my experience tools such as Inkfrog and Auctiva actually make creating and listing auctions a bit more user friendly, and they also have the ability to manage those auctions much better.
In conclusion I think Listing Factory does have its place among eBay design applications. Its low price and listing creation features definitely warrant a look into this software, and you can do what I did and check out the free trial and see if it is something you are interested in.
