Auctiva’s Find and Replace selling application has one goal in mind and that is to allow you to revise live listings. If you have ever had to revise a live listing the old fashioned way you know that this was a part of eBay that could use some improvement. It used to be that you could only edit one listing at a time and you had to go through a process of around 4 or 5 pages before you were done.

Find & Replace makes this process of revising listings much, much easier. In order to revise a listing you simply search for a phrase or word that you would like to change. The software will then return a list of listings that contain the keyword(s) and how many total occurrences there are. You can then decide which auctions you want to edit. The last step is to hit the replace with button, and your search words will be replaced.

Find & Replace by Auctiva does not allow you to do anything more than revise text. So if you are looking to change the price, category, PayPal email or anything else on a listing you will need to resort to eBay’s process. However I can imagine that Auctiva has plans in the near future to continue to add new features to their eBay software. Imagine how cool it would be if you could use this same process to update the price of an item.
