Hi,
I love your templates but am having a hard time placing them into the ebay html source code. After I edit everything it makes the page really long, could you tell me why this happens? Is their something in the code that makes the page scroll down so far with nothing in the space. Here is what I mean
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320666830341
Thanks in advance!

It seems you have switched themes. If you can show me a link to a page with this problem I should be able to help.
Thank you so much.. The templates are very nice…
Great Templates! Wish they had a cross-selling feature or a ‘see my other items’ link somewhere:)
Good job!Thanks x
What is the best way to embed a video for the Detailus Template(Dark)?
Thanks!
Nice templates, Thanks! I have read somewhere that when you use css on an ebay auction your css code should contain only body tags, should the head tag be stripped out when using this code? or are there any other modifications that need to be made in order to use this code with an ebay auction?
I am having the same issue as Paul, how do I stop all the blank space below my ebay listing? There is about 2-3 pages of just gray, and I can’t figure out what the issue is. Thanks
Can you provide a link to your eBay listing?
Going to try this out, thanks!
Me love it. Thanks a bunch. This is what I was looking for.
I am glad you found these helpful.
Having problems inserting into Ebay. The template becomes a list rather than the coloured background.
Please help!
This can happen if you remove the link back at the bottom of the template. Can you provide a link to your listing?
I like your templates I hope I will be able use one on my listing on Ebay.
Hi
I downloaded the Texturized Template in yellow for my eBay listings. In your demonstration of it you have the photos that allow magnification as you hover over etc, but when I opened the down loaded file it is blank with text. I am not a html wiz so be patient but am I missing something? Or can you give me the code etc so I can set it it up like you have.
If you are using inkfrog or auctiva the images your images will show up automatically. If you are using the eBay template you will need to replace “Replace This Text With Your Images. A width of 400px-450px is recommended” with img tags. I hope this helps.
Im having the same problem, im getting a huge space at the bottom off the page. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110778154703
Apart from that the templates are great
hi i like your templates. im currently trying to edit your template titled Detailus Template darkblue. when im editing it i cant create new paragraphs as when i save it its all one paragraph.
Ive used the and tags but no joy. I have not added it to ebay yet untill i get this sorted

Hello templates are very beautiful but how do I get the effect delel photos that spread on mouseover?
I am not sure what effect you are referring to. Can you provide a link to an example?
First, thank you for the clean, simple and elegant templates.
I downloaded de cutout template but I cannot have my logo in the center. It always get an offset to the right. How can I fix it?
Thanks again.
You might need to add a style attribute to the element. Please provide a link to a live example so I can further assist you.

http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280789251274&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
if you could look at my page please.
I am not sure what causes this to happen. What listing tool are you using?
Turbo lister 2 from Ebay, i was thinking of it too, because normaly it add something at bottom to say it made with it etc, but here there nothing, but long empty space, is m maybe because it cant add the sentence it want.
sorry for double post, i think the probleme is nothing can appear out of the template , we cant add stuff after template nothing gonna appear. maybe that.
sorry for triple post cant edit :/, do you know why each time i try to add auctiva store in flash, the bottom of your template bug. i cant copy past link because i dont put it in live since it bug, and i cant copy past the script here since it long. would be good if i can send private message
.

i’m not doit code etc, i was just doing my item listing and by modyfing stuff that happen, if it can help you. it in the bottom of code, is under contact.
Hello, I have the same problem. Can you tell me exactly what to do? Thank you.
because the photos with the passage of the mouse does not take the place of the middle? As in the template test which expand on mouse over,,, the javascript does not work? This is the original template and this is the insertion http://ebayappreview.com/templates/web2/darkeBayPreview.php http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270878823851&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
i downloaded this but how do i get the actual html code? im on mac.
You will need to open the file that you downloaded and copy the code from that.
from the sounds of things im having a similar problem to the post above. when i drop the images into the ‘image section’ the images just display all the same size and do not have the hover to enlarge function. please advise
This is most likely an HTML issue. You will need to make sure you are pasting the correct html code into the place of the image placeholder text.
Hay!
you have great templates!
I have a small problem. I want to drag pictures to the template, can you please tell me how I can do it?
Thanks in advance,
Yael
You will need to know html for this. You can place your img code in the place of the placeholder for the images in the template.
Thanks for those free templates! Need just a bit of help, when you download a ebay template and get the source code do you just put the html into ebay and is that it, or do you have to upload them to a server or is it already upload onto your website and we can just directly use them. And also about the blue cut out template where it says logo, how do we put the logo in?
Thanks in advance.
You will need to know html for this. You will need to replace the word “Logo” with your own custom html.
Nice templates, Thanks! I have a question. Can I replace your footerLink with my footerLink?
I would appreciate if you did not remove the footer link.
hi how do i put the image onto the html
You will want to place html on the page that looks like this
Was getting same symptom as others – LONG EMPTY SPACE at bottom of posting.
Quick bit of firebug and found Ebay is adding a height 10000 to the container iframe ….
<iframe id="b" width="99%" height="10000" frameborder="0" src="http://vi.ebaydesc.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&sd=3&item=290667110404&bv=mozilla&t=1328481493000&nv=2&js=-1&ssid=3&s1=0&category=177&seller=gmonkman& …….
Turns out, the resolution is to move the script to the start of the template, from the end.
var linkBack = document.getElementById(‘footerLink’);
var addStyle = false;
if(linkBack.innerHTML.trim() == ‘eBay Template found at eBay App Review’){
addStyle = true;
}
parent = document.getElementById(‘cssParent’);
css = document.getElementById(‘css’);
parent.removeChild(css);
if(addStyle){
document.write(‘\
\n\
\n\
\n\
‘);
}
Move that lot from bottom to top. Happy ebaying.
Thanks for taking the time to show the fix.
The blog engine has parsed out the script tags in previous post… you get the idea though.
There is a bug which can be seen on your own demonstration.
1) Roll over an image aside from the default one.
2) Click the new image in the large img box
3) This opens the default image and not the image displayed
good work though
Maybe in the next version we can work that out.
Hi Mike,
Recently downloaded and configured one of your ebay templates but it seems to react differently in different browsers leaving a large white space at the bottom.
In IE the template seems to be ok, it appears that internet explorer automatically removes the excess space within 1 second on page load.
In Mozilla Firefox there appears to be a large white space at the bottom of the listing
In google chrome on first load the listing appears to be normal but chages on page refresh/reload making the container scrollable (up/down) rather than displaying the whole template as it should be.
I have removed the listing temporarily but am hoping you can help me fix this problem as I would really like to use the template.
Could you please advise. Thanks.
Please see Graham’s comment to see a fix. You will need to move a snippet of code from the top to bottom.
Hi Mike!
This template is beautiful!
I want to ask you a question: how can i change the color of the blue bar?
I would like to apply, a custom color.
What section of code that I have to try to change that color?
Please help me… thanks
I’m sorry I forgot to tell you the template: Cutout Template
That blue bar is actually an image. You would have to create a new image and then use your own CSS to override the style’s I have added.
how do i copy your html source into frontpage?
You should download the template, then you can open the template file with a text editor such as notepad and copy the code to your desired editor.
hey there, i have copied html and paste specila in fron page then trat as html, but it does not show as the same as the actual template, says cant run scripts? how do i fix this
Hi, downloaded the template inserted it into the eBay html box then viewed it in the standard box and it looks as it should. However, as soon as it goes live it loses the design any advice on how to fix this problem. I have put a link to my test auction below.
Thanks,
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320855913020?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Graham, re. the click thru for the large image, I suggest you can just replace on line 103:
with
This will remove the click action altogether.
Great free templates, thank you Mike.
What I meant was, simply remove the href & link for the main image under the div id = “mainimage”, in other words to remove the click action altogether. Doing so will hold the main image to whatever image the user last hovered over. Thus, you’ll simply have the and tags surrounding your image source. Hope this helps better.
Thus, you simply have the open a and close a surrounding your image source.
I’m considering using one of your templates. Is it just a matter of copying the code into the html section of the listing or is additional work required?
Thanks
Yep that is all it takes. Just pick your platform and then download the file and copy its contents into the editor. If you need further assistance with a specific platform such as Inkfrog or Auctiva you can check their documentation or contact support.
Does anyone have a fix for the Google Chrome issue relating to the template showing in preview but not in the actual listing?
It works fine in IE.
Thanks
These templates are like TOTALLY COOL! Awesome dude!
hi
it seems the template have hover to enlarge feature like slideshow
but I download it
the feature just disappear
would you please tell me why?
Hi,
i realy like ur designs.i m considering using ur bubble one.but i m going to sell cars and i wanted to add some cars at the background rather than bubbles.is there any way i can do that.can u provide ur css file so i can change it from there.
Thnaks in advance
I have noticed today that one of your black and green free template is not more functioning on my ebay listed item, is it removed from the source destination. can’t I access in future?
Please re-arrange if removed, it was awesome template.
Thanks,
Extra space added to the bottom.
I did what Graham said but it did nothing.
Anybody have another solution or a better explanation.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251028019864
I FIGURED IT OUT
IT PORTION OF CODE DOESNT NEED TO BE MOVED FROM THE BOTTOM TO THE TOP.
IT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED ALL TOGETHER!
DELETE THIS!
var linkBack = document.getElementById(‘footerLink’);
var addStyle = false;
if(linkBack.innerHTML.trim() == ‘eBay Template found at eBay App Review’){
addStyle = true;
}
parent = document.getElementById(‘cssParent’);
css = document.getElementById(‘css’);
parent.removeChild(css);
if(addStyle){
document.write(‘\
\n\
\n\
\n\
‘);
}
Thanks Mike, from one of my buyers -
